Police say cash not on victim.

"Sarnia, Feb. 18. -- A Wallaceburg taxi driver, Gordon Bishop, 29, was carrying a considerable amount of money on the night he was found by police dying at the door of the Indian Health Centre on Walpole Island. There was no money on him when police found him with a bullet hole in his chest." (Toronto Globe & Mail, Tuesday, Feb. 19, 1957, p. 11).

The Globe & Mail was reporting on the trial of two men charged with Bishop's murder.
