Anthony Ekunah
Toronto, ON / July 1, 1991

Anthony (Tony) Ekunah, 35, was found slashed to death in his taxi on a quiet North York street on Canada Day, 1991. He had been stabbed several times. No money or personal affects were taken. The meter was still on.

Ekunah arrived from Canada in 1986 with his wife. They had two children, one born weeks after his murder.

Ekunah's widow made an insurance claim but it was denied on the grounds that "there was no objective evidence to show that the death was connected to Ekunah's use of the vehicle as a taxi-cab."
