Ennis, aged 43, was found at about 3:30 a.m. in the middle of Eglinton Ave. near Keele St. by a passing motorist who noticed someone fleeing from the scene.
Ennis was shot in the jaw and temple through the driver's side window, which was shattered.
His wife had begged the father of six to find safer work, but he refused to give up the job he loved.
