A man described as a peaceful father of five was found stabbed to death in his Beck taxi. Police discovered Mohammadullah Saighani, 48, in his taxi in a parking lot a few kilometres from his home, with his throat slashed and part of a thumb missing. A medical doctor in Afghanistan, Mr. Saighani had not been able to complete requirements to become a physician in Canada. Mr. Saighani and his wife of 28 years had lived in Canada for 10 years. A man who was involved in an affair with Saighani's wife was arrested and convicted of the murder.
