Picture (left): How can you resist being generous with the amiable cabbie who has just taken you for a drive in the Bois?

A gentleman fumbles for the tip while Melle. Vilain waits. Several charming little vignettes of femme cocher life were performed for the camera during the spring and summer of 1907 with the Bois de Boulogne as a setting.
