"A fingerprint of murder defendant Elbert Ratcliff was found on a business
card inside the taxi of a Jefferson Parish cabdriver killed two years ago,
a jury heard Wednesday.

Jefferson Parish sheriff's Sgt. Patricia Lusk testified that she found 20
cards on the driver's side floorboard of John Adams' King Cab and that one
of those cards had Ratcliff's fingerprint on it. She said she recovered
the cards after the cab was towed to the detective bureau garage the day of
the killing. Another business card found on the ground by detectives at the
murder scene also had Ratcliff's fingerprint, Lusk said.

Adams was found shot to death in his taxi two days after Christmas 1995 in
the 700 block of Calhoun Street in Metairie. Dr. Fraser McKenzie of the
coroner's office said Adams, 34, had been shot once in the back of the
head and died instantly.....
