Taxi operator killed during shoot out

A Trelawny taxi operator was killed Tuesday night after he was 
caught in a shoot-out involving two groups of gunmen in 
Trelawny.

He has been identified as 44-year-old Waldron Duncan 
otherwise called "Wally" of Hague in Trelawny.

Mr. Duncan plied the Hague to Falmouth route.

It is reported that shortly after 8 o'clock, the taxi operator 
dropped off a passenger in Falmouth.

He was about to drive off when explosions were heard.

Armed men then entered his car to escape being fired on.

During an ensuing shoot out Mr. Duncan was hit and reportedly 
died on the spot.

It is believed that one of the gunmen was also shot.
