The Yomiuri Shimbun (Tokyo, Japan) July 2, 2007 Taxi driver found slain in Hiroshima Prefecture The Yomiuri Shimbun A taxi driver was found stabbed to death in Mihara, Hiroshima Prefecture, early Sunday, police said. Tsuyoshi Fujita was found at about 5:15 a.m. lying in a pool of blood in a vacant lot in an industrial complex about eight kilometers from Hiroshima Airport by a newspaper delivery man, who contacted the police. Fujita, 52, had been stabbed in the chest several times, the police said. Fujita's taxi was found abandoned on a road about a kilometer from his body. The company for which Fujita worked said he radioed at about 1:50 a.m. to say he had picked up a man and was heading for the Nutanishicho district of Mihara, where his body was found. As Fujita had not returned by 2:30 a.m., the scheduled end of his shift, the company located his car with the Global Positioning System, and his coworkers set out to look for him.
