Taxi operator shot dead at traffic light
A 31-year-old taxi operator was shot dead by a lone gunman at the intersection of Hope Road and Surbiton Road in Kingston 10 Friday night.
Dead is Brenton Graham of Mavis Bank, St. Andrew.
It is reported that shortly after nine Friday night explosions were heard and a man was seen running from a Toyota Corolla motor car that was at the traffic light.
The car had registration plates PD 3463.
Mr. Graham was discovered with gunshot wounds slumped over the steering wheel of the car.
The police were called and the body removed to the morgue.
And the Papine police are sifting for evidence to aid them in solving the gun murder of a man in Plantain Walk, Dallas Castle, St. Andrew Friday night.
The dead man has been identified as 40-year-old Richard Jackson, otherwise called Richie of Plantain Walk.
It is reported that a motorist saw the body about nine o'clock on the roadway and called the police.
Mr. Jackson's body which had several gunshot wounds was removed to the morgue for a post mortem.
