A taxi cab driver was found shot to death in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward on
Sunday night.

A passerby found Steve Guarini, 49, slumped over in the driver seat of his
Lenox Cab company car on Glen Iris Drive and Ralph McGill Boulevard
about 11 p.m. and called police thinking the man had suffered a heart
attack, authorities said.

Arriving officers discovered Guarini had been shot. The bullet had entered
his back and lodged in his chest, killing him, officials said.

Guarini had been driving for the company since its inception about 15 years
ago, said employee Rob Williams. His death was the first casualty for the
130-person company during that time, Williams said.
