Taxi driver shot dead in Kasur

KASUR: Four people were killed in separate incidents here on Monday.

In the first incident, unidentified men shot dead a taxi driver in the limits of Mustafabad Police station.

Two unidentified persons rented a taxi from Raiwind for village Sarhalee Kala Mustafabad. Later, they shot dead the driver Zahid Mahmood and threw the dead body at a deserted place in Mustafabad.

According to police, the bullets were shot from very close, which indicated that the accused had an old enmity or some other grudge against the driver

However, the local police are investigating the matter from all angles.

In another incident, unidentified armed dacoits shot dead a farmer on resistance during a dacoity bid in his house at village Valtoia Ghareala.

Reports said, four unidentified dacoits entered the house of farmer Asghar and shot dead him when he offered resistance. The dacoits fled away without taking anything. The police have registered the case and started investigation.

In yet another incident, a train crushed an aged woman to death in the limits of Pattoki Police station when she attempted to ride the running train.

Naziran Bibi, 60, tried to ride the moving train. In the process, her foot slipped and she fell under the wheels of the train which tore him to two pieces. Pattoki Railway police have registered the case.

In the fourth incident, a speedy tractor crushed a man to death in village Sarai Schena

The man was waiting for a bus at the bus stop when a over speeding tractor hit him killing him on the spot.

The driver managed to flee the scene. The police have registered the case.
