Three Spaniards arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of Valencia taxi driver

The ages and identities of the three arrested men have not been released by the police

Three people have been arrested for the stabbing to death of a taxi driver in the early hours of Saturday.

The 47 year old victim was married and had been a taxi driver for more than 20 years. The body of José Francisco Sirvent was found with several stab wounds in the La Fillola industrial estate in the Aldaia district of the city. The attack resulted in demonstrations in Valencia organised by both the taxi drivers and the unions.

National police have confirmed that the three men they have arrested are all Spaniards.

It follows another fatal attack on a taxi driver, this time in Madrid last October 19.
