Above: Sparks Street, Ottawa, in 1900. The track cleaner seems unaware of the approaching streetcar. Below: Uwanta Lunch was something of an Ottawa institution. Established in 1897 it was still operating in 1932 as this advertisement attests. Sometime after 1926 it moved from Sparks Street to Bank Street.
