Hashi Guled Peace River, Alberta / April 23, 2026 Hashi Guled was listed on LinkedIn as the owner of a one-cab company in Peace River, Alberta called Heavenly Wheels Transportation.
Sometime around 2:30 a.m. on April 23, 2026, Mr. Guled was at a Petro Canada gas station when he was attacked by a 37-year-old man who stole his 2005 red Dodge Caravan. Mr. Guled was knocked down and run over by the fleeing carjacker and died of his injuries at the scene. He was 74 years old.
Nobody noticed what had happened for two hours until another customer discovered Mr. Guled and notified the RCMP. Gas station security footage provided good images of the killer as well as showing the him attacking Mr. Guled and running him over with the taxi.
Police were able to identify and arrest the killer thanks to tips from the public. He was charged with manslaughter, criminal negligence causing death and dangerous driving causing death.
