Fragment of a ceramic frieze which decorates the entrance of the Michelin tire depot in Paris Most of the cabs driven by the femmes cocher were equipped with pneumatic tires, but judging by the pictures in Vance Thompson's article The Paris Cabman most Paris cabs as late as 1903 still rumbled along on steel tires.
