Every morning you will groom
Your forty-year-old nag
Then you will harness it
And go out in all kinds of weather,
You will insult every pedestrian
So they'll get out of the way quickly,
If need be you will squash them
Without the least concern,
If a customer hires you
And he's in a hurry, you will go slowly
And afterward abuse him
If he doesn't give you a big tip

Another satirical attack on the supposedly universal cab driver mentality. This card may portray a music hall act. In the 1880s in Vienna fiakersangern (singing cab drivers) and fiakerlieder (cab driver songs) became very popular in cabarets and the fad likely spread to France.
