Charles Lindbergh's Alfred was pressed on him by an unknown American woman who pushed her way past photographers to the Spirit of St. Louis at Le Bourget aerodrome just as Lindbergh was about to take off for Brussels (Le Rappel, May 29, 1927, p. 1; National Library of France via Gallica).
